18k and 24k gold

A Treasure of Value and Versatility

24K gold

24-karat gold is considered 100 percent pure gold.

This means that it is composed exclusively of gold without any other metal mixed in.

Gold purity is measured in carats, and the carat system ranges from 0 to 24.

Thus, 24-karat gold represents the highest purity.

However, because of its characteristics of greater hardness and strength, we also use 18k gold for some types of jewelry.

Characteristics and Composition of 24K Gold

Other common carats of gold include 18-karat gold (containing 75 percent pure gold and 25 percent other metals), 14-karat gold (containing 58 percent pure gold and 42 percent other metals), and so on.

Many jewelers use gold alloys of different carats to balance the beauty of pure gold with the need for greater strength and durability.

24-karat gold is used in all jewelry where purity is a key aspect in terms of prestige, compared to more everyday jewelry.
